Project Overview
Our works involved the civil and structural design and build of all of the foundations for this 7.5MW gas peaking plant, including fencing, ducting, drainage and footpaths.
A Highly Constrained Site
The very compact site presented several challenges, including contaminated ground, poor ground quality, a busy public highway, and frequent vehicle and crane movements from an active industrial yard next door — which also formed the main access to the works.
Delivering safely in such a tight footprint demanded close coordination with neighbouring site users and follow-on trades, and meticulous planning of every delivery and lift.
A very compact site requiring a lot of planning and coordination with other site users and follow-on trades. One of a number of gas peaking plants we have delivered with EPS on behalf of Conrad Energy.
Delivering Through the Pandemic
The works were carried out safely and without incident despite the logistical challenges of the site and the initial effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, which was taking effect as the works progressed.
Key Achievements
- Full foundation package delivered on a highly constrained urban site
- Safe management of contaminated ground and poor ground conditions
- Coordinated access shared with a live industrial yard and public highway
- Completed without incident through the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic
