Project Overview
Hayward Utility Services delivered the complete civil engineering package for a 7.5MW FlexGen (STOR) facility, providing the foundations and supporting infrastructure required for the installation of the generating equipment.
Our scope included reinforced concrete foundations, construction of the access road, acoustic and security fencing, underground ducting and drainage, delivering a fully prepared site ready for mechanical and electrical installation.
The Challenge
The project was delivered on a compact site where several contractors were working simultaneously throughout the construction programme.
Maintaining safety, productivity and programme required careful planning, clear communication and close day-to-day coordination between all parties. With limited working space and multiple activities taking place concurrently, effective sequencing of works was critical to keeping the project moving safely and efficiently.
